Our Day

Our day starts at 07:45 as the children are warmly, welcomed into the nursery setting by their key-worker to start their day. We offer full-day sessions from 07:45 to 18:00. Morning sessions are from 08:00 to 13:00. Afternoon sessions are from 13:00 to 18:00.

Our Daily Routine

Bees Room
(6 months to 2 . 5 years old)

  • 7:45 Welcome children into their room

  • 7:45 – 8:15 Breakfast or free play

  • 8:15 – 9:15 Child-led play / an adult led activity

  • 9:15 – 9:30 Circle time, singing, stories 

  • 9:30 – 11:00 Outdoor play (during spring and summer)  

  • 9:45 – 10:00 Snack time / Nappy change 

  • 10:00 Music session twice per week

  • 11:20 – 12:00 Lunch time 

  • 12:00 – 14:00 Sleep time or story time and quiet play

  • 14:00 – 14:30 Snack time / Nappy change

  • 14:30 – 15:00 Child-led play / an adult led activity

  • 15:00- 16:00 Outdoor play

  • 16:15 – 17:00 Dinner time

  • 17:00 – 17:30 Circle time

  • 17:30 – 18:00 Home time

Rabbits Room
(2 . 5 to 4 years old)

  • 07:45 Welcome the children into nursery 

  • 07:45- 8:15 Breakfast time or free play

  • 08:15-11:00 Children can access both indoor and outdoor play. 

  • We offer child-led and adult initiated activities

  • 10:00 Snack time – self service

  • The pre-school has one group music session per week and two SEN 1-1 music interaction sessions

  • 11:00 Tidy up time

  • 11:15 Circle time (divided in age groups) story time, phonics and Maths games.

  • 11:30 Lunch time 

  • 12:00 – 13:00 Resting time / story time 

  • 13:00 Welcome afternoon children into the nursery 

  • 13:00-16:00 Children can access both indoor and outdoor play

  • We offer child-led and adult initiated activities

  • 14:30 Snack time – self service

  • 15:45 Tidy up time 

  • 16:00 Circle time: Phonics, Maths games and stories

Transition from Bees Room to Rabbits Room

Children who start with us in the Bees room automatically have a place in the Rabbits room when they are around 2 years 6 months. Although children moving from our Bees room to our Rabbits room have usually been with us for some time, we still see this as an important transition for them and feel that it is important that this is planned and carried out in a way that meets the needs of each individual child.
